The meeting will be held at the Peace House at 2116 NE 18th Ave (at Tillamook) in Portland. PJW members and newcomers are welcome--the quarterly meeting is a great place to learn about PJW and plug in.

Peace and Justice Works is a non-profit, all-volunteer group committed to promoting nonviolent conflict resolution on a local, national and international level. Its program areas include US policy in Iraq (Iraq Affinity Group), police accountability (Portland Copwatch) and education around the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (Portland School of the Americas Watchers).

The Iraq Affinity Group has been working on local and state-wide resolutions to bring the troops home and various public demonstrations including the Sept. 29 mobilization in downtown Portland. Portland Copwatch has ongoing work around the city's "police review board," policies such as the sit/lie and Drug-Free Zone ordinances, and organizing and advising people around their rights and specific incidents of police misconduct.

The agenda will include program area reports and organizational business including nominations for the PJW board.
